Boundless emotions at the new Riva Privée in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
From the high end of global yacht-building to the breathtaking peaks of the Dolomites, the authentic Riva experience climbs to high altitude
Cortina D’Ampezzo, January 21, 2022 - Cortina is where Riva opens a spectacular year for the brand, which in 2022 celebrates its 180th anniversary and announces some magnificent surprises in store. The collection of Riva Destinations worldwide wouldn’t be complete without the pearl of the Dolomites, which is now the splendid location of an elegant Riva Privée at the Cristallo, Luxury Collection Resort & SPA.
Like an aquamarine gemstone set amidst the majestic snow-covered peaks of the Dolomites, a Unesco World Heritage site, the new Riva space embraces the cultural heritage and art nouveau-inspired architecture of Hotel Cristallo, an exclusive haunt of the international jet set for over century.
In this unique location, the decor immediately transports guests into the magical world of the Riva legend. The warmth of wood is particularly relaxing, enveloping guests in a blend of inlays, different varieties and sophisticated detailing. While chrome plating, stainless steel and varnished mahogany (as seen on yacht decks), all typical of the Riva legend, instantly conjure up the design and splendour of the world’s most famous yachts.
The Riva Privée at the Cristallo is a temporary space that will welcome guests in the Stube 1872, the famed restaurant where chef Marco Pinelli has created a special Riva menu ranging from traditional Cortina d’Ampezzo cuisine to flavours evoking the sea.
A breathtaking Riva experience, engaging all the senses, in which the evocation of the sea and the exclusive setting in the Dolomites come together to arouse powerful emotions and win the hearts of both skiers and hard-to-please gourmets.
In keeping with the guiding philosophy of “Riva inside, inside Riva”, the initiative again renews the Riva Destination format that has already been a great success in other go-to destinations, including Paris, Venice, Opatija, Monaco, Mykonos and Formentera, extending the values and appeal of the Riva legend to prestigious hotels, restaurants and clubs with the aim of showcasing Riva excellence for boat owners, yachting enthusiasts and travellers in search of elite destinations.
Recent Riva Destination openings worldwide include: the Riva Privée in Ischia, at the Ristorante Daní Maison, whose culinary excellence is assured by Michelin-star chef Nino Di Costanzo; the Riva Lounge and Privée at the Ikador Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa in Opatija (Croatia), the famous tourist resort that has won over the international jet set with its beautiful landscapes and crystal clear water; the Riva Privée at the Molo47restaurant on Formentera, the most glamorous of the Balearic Islands; the Riva Privée at Splash, Port Van Gogh, Paris, which offers guests the opportunity to discover unbelievably beautiful views of the French capital from the river on board an Aquariva Super; the magnificent Riva Lounge on the terrace of The Gritti Palace in Venice, famed for its magical atmosphere and breathtaking views out over the Canal Grande and of Santa Maria della Salute Cathedral. Other dream locations are the Riva Lounges at the historic Riva di Sarnico Shipyard and on the fourth floor of the Monaco Yacht Club.
