Düsseldorf, 19th January 2016 - Ferretti Group inaugurates 2016 in style, displaying at the Düsseldorf boat show a fleet of 5 amazing yachts.
First of all, the new Ferretti Yachts 550, a première for the German market which has already captivated the most important markets around the world, from the American continent to Mainland China.
The Italian flybridge yacht, with 7 hulls already sold in just a few months, is ready to seduce new owners from the key markets of Central & Northern Europe.
Beside the 55 feet, Ferretti Group shows to the expert sea-lovers attending BOOT a varied selection of its models, made of the coupé yacht Pershing 50.1 and of an amazing trio by Riva: the iconic Iseo, Aquariva Super and 63’ Virtus, one of the largest open yachts ever produced by the brand on display for the first time in Germany too.
“BOOT is not only one of the most important events for the boating sector worldwide. It also represents the perfect framework for our Group for setting up a preferential relationship with clients, dealers, and journalists from all over Central and Northern Europe. This is a particularly interesting area, with a high standard of living and a leading economy for the whole European continent” - highlighted Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group Chief Executive Officer.
“For this reason, we decided to strengthen our presence this year, with 5 models representing 3 brands and the première of the new Ferretti Yachts 550. We have also chosen this important stage for presenting 2016 projects for Ferretti Yachts and Pershing. Brand new yachts, which will further enrich the amazing range of the two brands starting from the coming summer season”.
The press conference on BOOT’s opening day, Saturday 23rd January, at the Group’s booth (Halle 6, D27) will be the ideal launch of this promising year. Ferretti Group will announce the projects already on the go for the brands Ferretti Yachts and Pershing that will be launched in the second part of the year.
FERRETTI YACHTS 550
This new flybridge yacht plays a crucial role in the brand’s development strategy.
The Ferretti Yachts 550, which features an unprecedented hull design, equipment and engine room arrangement and interior layout, is once again the brilliant outcome of the long-standing cooperation between the Group, its Engineering Department in particular, and Studio Zuccon International Project.
Ferretti Yachts 550 combines elegance and a sporty character, with clear-cut and yet seducing lines.
The main deck uninterrupted glazing ‘cuts’ the yacht’s profile, increasing its dynamic look, while the three large glazed surfaces on the hull sides - the cabin windows - perfectly harmonize with the overall design and grant magnificent views from the interiors as well as plenty of natural light.
The frameless fiberglass flush portholes result in very clean lines.
The lowered flybridge and the new forward lounge area on the wheelhouse offer incredibly wide outdoor relaxation areas, ensuring great privacy with no impact on the craft’s slender profile.
RIVA 63' VIRTUS
63’ Virtus is one of the largest open yachts ever produced by the shipyard, characterized by an unmistakable style and a distinctly Mediterranean character.
Riva reinterprets the concept of an open yacht with a model featuring a typical Mediterranean style which maintains the unmistakable elegance of all the shipyard’s models: class, refinement and clean lines. These are also found in and on the new 63’ Virtus, a model designed to last. Created following the lines of the Vertigo, a classical, highly successful Riva model, 63’ Virtus recaptures the strong character of the Rivale, another Riva open boat which has marked the shipyard’s history, but uses larger spaces which guarantee excellent livability and total on-board comfort. The harmonious profile and racy lines of the yacht are further emphasized by the large arrow-shaped side windows, which have made so many other Riva models successful and guarantee excellent natural lighting below deck. The unusual features of the hull and teak of the deck and part of the cockpit, together with the many details in stainless steel, contribute to making the 63’ Virtus both modern and sporty.
The new Riva 63’ Virtus features twin 1360mhp MAN 12V engines, delivering an excellent performance, with a top speed of 40.5 knots and a cruise speed of 35.
